Southside Funfair is located on the small beach of Bowleaze Cove.
The cove is on the Jurassic Coast and is known for its geology and beautiful views of Weymouth and Portland. During the summer months it is a popular family destination to sit watch the Weymouth beach fireworks.
The beach is made up of mainly shingle and shell with some sandy areas. It is a popular family beach during the summer season and has a slipway for launching small craft. There are rock pools to explore at low tide and a small pier dividing the beach near to where the River Jordan flows out onto the beach. It is often a mark for anglers during late evening especially further along the beach heading towards Overcombe.
During the warmer months from Easter onwards every Monday there is a market and car boot sale based in the car parking areas.
